RF, or radiofrequency microneedling, is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, and sagging skin.
While traditional microneedling has been utilized for more than 25 years, this latest innovative procedure incorporates radiofrequency energy to aid the rejuvenation process. With the help of this technology we are able to remold the tissue from the inside out, giving you a more youthful appearance.
While it is most common to use RF Microneedling on the face and neck, this treatment can also be used all over the body to treat lax skin. Other than the face and neck, other treatment areas include:
This innovative procedure is suitable for all skin types. RF microneedling can help tighten and firm sagging skin, and rejuvenate your overall complexion. RF microneedling may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions or active skin infections.
Your technician will begin by consulting with you to determine the primary area of concern and best treatment options before starting your procedure. We’ll review your medical history to ensure you are a candidate for RF Microneedling. In order to track the progress of the targeted area, we’ll take photos of the area of treatment. You will be numbed with a topical numbing cream, which will take full affect in roughly 10-15 minutes after application. In addition to the topical numbing cream, we typically will preform a facial nerve block by injecting lidocaine. This will aid in patient comfort for the duration of the procedure. Your expert technician will then clean the treatment area, and begin the RF Microneedling procedure. The procedure duration is dependent on the size of the area being treated, but most patients can expect to be in the office for 1 - 1.5 hours on average. This procedure has little to no down time, and regular activity may be resumed the following day.
